Big Baits

Our Big Baits collection is aimed at those who throw larger baits, in particular glidebaits and swimbaits. We do keep a small amount of custom painted Big Baits in popular patterns in stock, and ready to purchase.

All of our Big Baits collection are available as a custom order baits where you, our customer, decides the specific pattern you want painted on one of our high quality blanks, or a blank provided by you for us to paint. Prices vary based on complexity of the pattern and the blank chosen, but generally run in the $20 - $30 range (plus shipping). Please note that these custom order baits typically require payment in full prior to us beginning your project, and typically take 1 to 2 weeks to complete before shipping.

Clyde's Cranks Premium Custom Painted Baits Collection is a line-up custom airbrushed baits that effectively mimic a real fish or frog. Painted by Bob Waldo (a.k.a. "Clyde") we've chosen almost two dozen various body styles, and married them with several distinct patterns to make a selection of lures that are irresistible to a gamefish on the prowl. Lastly, we add US made, stainless steel split rings, oval tie line rings, premium lure eyes from Jettson, Dead Meat Customs and Fish Skull, and KVD Triple Grip trebles to each bait we make to maintain our objective of offering some of the highest quality custom baits on the market today.

The Premium Baits Collection is currently being prepared for production. We anticipate its' re-introduction into our lineup early 2023.

The original "Black Mamba" popper is Clyde's signature bait, and the product that inspired me to begin a business selling custom baits online. From its humble origins as a popper with a 2 3/4" gloss black body, blood red gill highlights, blood red hook, and a dressed treble of black squirrel tail and red feather, the Mamba has blossomed into a collection of five topwater bass fishing lures all true to the original products roots of gloss black and red. The Mamba Collection offers you a variety of sizes and topwater body types. There is now a family of Mambas that will cover many topwater largemouth bass fishing needs!

These baits are value packed custom painted baits that feature some of the most timeless patterns, and classic body styles. They all use US made stainless steel split rings and US made Eagle Claw Lazer trebles. Clyde's Classics are value priced at $10 each.

 


Big Baits / Custom Order Big Baits

Buy from our selection of in-stock patterns, or consult with us to have a bait custom painted to your specifications. The only limit is your imagination!

Clyde's Cranks offers a number of custom painted Big Baits on a custom order basis. Our Big Baits collection consists primarily of Glidebaits and Swimbaits, but also include crankbaits and topwater baits that weigh at least one ounce. 

We can also custom paint a Big Bait to your favorite pattern on a special order basis.  Please note that all Big Baits are painted to order and require payment in full prior to us beginning your project. Big Bait orders typically take 2 to 3 weeks to complete before shipping.
